Solution For COD Electronic Data Fetching Issues

Issues

The script file should be installed in all POs and it may be checked up whether the issue on non-receipt of COD electronic data in postman module is resolved at all POs. Any problem after installation of the script file may be forwarded to CEPT.

Fix

Most of the articles electronic data were received in Local machine but not able to transfer the article data to eCounter for postman invoicing due to non updation of eCounter database.
This script may fix the above issue. 

Steps To Update

  1. Download the Attached script provided by CEPT.
  2. Execute at once in all delivery POs using MM Script Tool.exe

After Ugradation of Sanchay Post From v7.0 to v7.5 in some offices while attempting Day End below error shows

PowerBuilder Application Execution Error (R0007)
Application terminated. Error : Unresolvable external f_upd_certs_issue_statistics_nscix when linking reference at line 135 in clicked event of object cb_dayend of w_dayend.

Just for Info

 

This issue occur improper updation of Sanchay Post 7.5 i.e You may install Sanchay Post v7.5 without uninstall Sanchay Post v7.0

Solution 

 

Verify that Sanchay Post MDE 7.99.1 is installed,if not installed proceed the following steps
  1. Go To Control Panel -> Programs & Features Uninstall Sanchay Post 7.5 ( Also Check older version of Sanchay Post is Available in list than uninstall same )
  2. Rename SP5 Folder to SP5_OLD
  3. Install Sanchay Post 7.5 again
  4. Do Not Run UPGRADE_DB again 
  5. Day End Error has been fixed in Sanchay Post v7.5

After Update MM 7 Update 9 Parcel Net Solution dated 13012014 in some offices while redirect the  pincode mismatch COD article it shows an error message as Error number : -2147217900
Procedure or function Dly_Insert_pincode_Mismatch_COD has too many arguments specified.

 

Not able to invoice Pincode Mismatch COD

 

Even After update the Parcel Solution dated13.01.14 in postman 7.9 Not able to invoice the Pincode Mis match COD article.

 

Solution

 

The only one reason behind this issue is Improper up-gradation.
  1. Download the Postman 7.9 dated 13.01.2014.
  2. Execute the all postman the three postman exl and One invoice exl.
  3. Replace the latest postman and dll and register the same.

Invoice COD Articles in Postman 7.9 with Booked wrong Pincode

Main feature of Parcel Net Solution Dated 13.01.14

  • Most of the Office faced problem with delivery of COD amount received with Business Parcel COD articles in post offices due to wrong entry of PIN Codes of Delivery post office at the time of booking of these articles.
  • As a result, even though the article has reached the correct delivery post office, the office concerned has not been able to invoice the article.
  • In order to solve the problems stated above, a script has been prepared by CEPT and kept on their FTP site (of CEPT). 
  • The script (Invoice_CODArticles.exl),  which will allow invoicing of COD parcels without validating the pincode of the office. 

Procedure to Install

  1. Post offices can download the same from the Postman folder of “SolutionsToParcelNetUpdate” available in ftp site. 
  2. The same Solution can also download from PoTools only Total post office solution size 3.1MB only.
  3. Replace the Latest Postman.exe and Dll then register the same.
  4. Execute all the Three exl Postman_1,2 and 3.exl then execute Invoice_CODArticles.exl using Script Tool.

Once the script is run by the Post Offices, all COD articles in respect of which electronic data is available, can be invoiced and delivered through that Post Office, even though the pincode of the post office does not match with the delivery pincode selected at the time of booking.

Above Issue occur due to improper Sequence upgradation of database.

Solution

  1. Update MM 7 Update 8 then upgrade the database of IFS MO.
  2. Once Again upgrade MM7 Update 9 to resolve the Above issue.
Note : The above issue due to non upgradation of Update - 8.

After Update 9 In Some offices COD Collection head was not yet Created. i.e BPCOD Collection, EPCOD Collection, BPCOD Fee and EPCOD Fee in Sub account Module and also Treasury Module.

Do's

For Create account Head for COD in both Sub Account and Treasury
  1. Download Attached Treasury.exl from PoTools 1KB.
  2. Execute the same Using Script Tool

Never Create COD Collection manually, it will create Issues with
  1. Mis-match Account head between Sub Offices an Head Office.
  2. it will be deleted at the end of month if not make Permanent.

Tutorial for Signup CEPT Help Desk Management System

Dear SAs/PAs.
                     CEPT Launched HDMS site for DOP Users, this is a Great site to resolve the issues of DOP Softwares. we can Signup in CEPT website and Move to HDMS with in 4 simple steps.

Steps to go to HDMS

  1. Go to CEPT Site (www.cept.gov.in).
  2. Click Signup for New User.
  3. Enter Login Credentials on CEPT website (www.cept.gov.in).
  4. Click on Support to go to HDMS.

Sign Up Process:

  • Click Signup Link and Read Usage Rules, Accept the Terms and Conditions.
  • Fill up your details and click register to Register with CEPT.
  • Kindly note down your register Number and take Print out for future reference.

Login HDMS

  1. After complete the above process, Goto cept.gov.in
  2. Login into CEPT website Using registered credentials.
  3. Click Support Menu to Login HDMS website. 




HDMS: User Manual for Ticket Raiser

After logging into the CEPT website please click on the Support Menu. The Menus appearing in the subsequent page and its functionality are as follows:
i. Home : Self explanatory.

ii. Add Ticket : To register a ticket. Please ensure correct particulars. Please ensure furnishing of all relevant details to avoid any suspension of the ticket by CEPT support team.

iii. Pending Ticket : To view / Remind the pending tickets. In case the tickets are suspended by the CEPT for want of any additional information, please respond to it.

iv. Closed Ticket : To see / reopen the closed tickets. The ticket wise feedback can also be given.

v. Search Ticket : To search a particular ticket. The tickets registered by the user concerned shall only be available for search. The tickets can be searched with the ticket number only.

vi. Feedback : To provide feedback by the user on the application as a whole. Users are encouraged to provide feedbacks.

vii. Back : To go to the main menu of the CEPT website.

IFS MO downloaded but not available for printing.
Please upgrade the office properly and sequentially from Megdoot 7.0 to latest 7.9. The updates are available in the ftp site. Please ensure compliance to proper procedure and pre-requisite mentioned in the release documents.

IFS MO downloaded, printed but not available for payment.

Ifs.dll not found.

IFS MO Paid through window but payment head not displayed in daily account.

Error Message: Could not connect to remote server.
At times server may be busy; please try later.

IFS MO available for invoicing but not available for reprinting.
After printing the IFS MO moves to the window payment option only and it shall not be available for the invoicing to the beats.

eMO client registration failed.
Please re-register following due procedure. Please do the following.
1. Get the web registration done by Divisional Administration, in case of Hardware change & Software corruption, and get the correct user id and password.
2. Run the emoResetRegistration.exl file in eMO client machine using script tool (it will reset the existing client registration).
3.Register the eMO client using the user id and password.
4. Ensure that the security certificate is registered already. If the above process is carried on properly the office will be registered. If it is registered it should appear in the eMO website in registered offices list.

Error Message: Transport level security issue
Please do the certificate registration if you have not done it. Double click on the RegisterCACft.exe available in installation folder of eMO Client to install the required certificate. It will show a Security Warning Dialog with contents “You are about to install a certificate from a certification authority claiming to represent: ptcmysoretest ….”. Here click Yes.Browse the emo web site from the eMO client machine. The page should display without certificate error.

IFS MO not available for download.
After download of the IFS MO, a messae is coming intimating the successful download. Once downloaded it will not be available for download again. Moreover if the MO is downloaded at other offices then alos it will not be available for download.
